Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a charitable apolitical Educational Trust dedicated to the promotion of Education and Indian Culture. Freedom Fighter Kanhaiyalal Maniklal Munshi, well known Educationist, Lawyer, Writer, Cabinet Minister in the first cabinet of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, the second Governor of U.P. after Dr. Sarojani Naidu, founded the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938 with the blessings of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. Munshi ji looked upon the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as an “adventure in faith”, a faith not only in India’s past, present and future but also in India’s people who have a rich and unbroken cultural heritage. Its ideal is “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam”, which means “the world is one family”. To bring prosperity and new life in the field of education and to alive awareness in the field of Indian culture and heritage, a plant in the form of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was implanted by the educationist and great leader of the Country. Now it has become banyan tree and roof a stream of Institutions all over the country and abroad. Leaders of our country knew very well that until and unless the education, culture and heritage of India is not enriched there is no meaning of the freedom. Therefore, some Politicians & educationists came forward to re-establish the Indian culture and began new era in the field of education with a vision to make India to become self independent in the field of economy and industries.
